Allen M. Jacobs, DPM
Allen M. Jacobs, DPM, is a distinguished leader in the field of podiatric medicine and surgery, with a career spanning over four decades. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Jacobs completed his surgical residency at Monsignor Clement Kern Hospital for Special Surgery in Warren, Michigan, in 1975. He is currently in private practice in St. Louis, Missouri, where he continues to make significant contributions to the advancement of podiatric care.
Dr. Jacobs’ extensive expertise encompasses a wide range of podiatric specialties and subspecialties, with a particular focus on reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. He is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jacobs has held numerous leadership positions within the podiatric community, including serving as a Director of Podiatric Surgical Residency Training for 25 years. He has also been a contributing editor to esteemed publications such as the Journal of Foot Surgery, Podiatry Today, Foot and Ankle Quarterly, and Clinics in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Jacobs is a dedicated educator and researcher, having published over 80 scientific articles and contributed 17 chapters to various textbooks. He has presented over 1000 papers at podiatric and medical society meetings, earning widespread recognition for his expertise and contributions to the field.
